Well, basically, you don't go to a recording studio, it comes to you, complete with experienced sound engineers who know how to get the best from their equipment.

We do two types of recording: Location studio recording and event recording.

Location Studio Recording

If you are in a band, for example,  we can come to where you rehearse and set up. This is not a case of sticking a mic in front of you and pressing go, we operate a complete recording studio and will use the same recording and production techniques that would be used in a traditional recording studio (see FAQ 4 for details).

This kind of setup works well for schools, where either coursework is to be recorded (typically GCSE or A level) for examining bodies, or the school wants to make a CD of pupils performing, perhaps to sell to parents.

Event Recording

If you are putting on a show and would like this recorded, we can come earlier in the day (or the week, or whenever is convenient), set up and record the  show live.  This can be tidied up as you require and burned onto CD. While we do not  have facilities for multiple  CD duplication, we do have some very good contacts for small and large runs of CDs, if you wish to sell these later.

We choose to operate this way because it enables us to reach a wider range of people and is cheaper. The money we save by not running a large commercial premises gets passed on to you. For production work, We have an editing suite, where we can prepare backing tracks before a recording, and take recordings away afterwards for polishing up and applying the final touches.
